Basically, they're getting rid of Red Hat Linux. Two products will remain.
One is Red Hat Enterprise, with full support for software updates and the
like, with a long life cycle and infrequent major revisions (emphasis on
stability). The other is Fedora, with frequent do-it-yourself updates and
revisions (no automated support, AFAIK). Enterprise has a fee, and Fedora is
free.

There is also an academic version of Enterprise (similar features, but a
reduced cost), which is probably what we'll be switching to when plain old
Red Hat goes away.
