Hi,
We recently upgraded our Onyx3000 from 6.5.17 to 6.5.20. With that
upgrade, it upgraded performer_eoe to 3.0.1. But we did not upgrade
performer_dev. So to bring the eoe back to the same level as dev, I
removed performer_eoe and re-installed performer_eoe from the 6.5.17
distribution.
We are now experiencing version differences in things that we compiled prior
to the upgrade. I believe this is because the symlink are not properly set. I
seem to remember there being a problem about upgrading or re-installing
performer causing problems with incorrect sym links in the various performer
libraries.
Here is an example of running a newly compiled applications against older .so
files.
vail[108] ./last-IRIX_N32 156795:./last-IRIX_N32: rld: Fatal Error:
objectlibpfui.so from liblist in
/usr/local/diverse/installed/dpf-2.3.1/lib32/libdpf.so.2.3 has version
"sgi6.0", which does not match the found object: /usr/lib32/libpfui.so (with
version "sgi4.0:sgi4.0.440:sgi4.1:sgi4.2")
Can you tell me if I am on track regarding this possible sym link problem?
And how to fix it.
Thanks,
Steve
