The normal man, as supplied with SUSE and Debian and probably some other distributions can't be configured (afaik) to handle that filename convention. I already reported this multiple times to the Performer group and thus far have only got "Yes, we'll need to fix that" :)
I wrote a little shell-script that filters out the C pages if there's a C++ page for it and renames the whole bunch to get it working. It's ugly, but it works. Drop me a mail if you're interested.
