The discussion about nVidia vs. ATI got me to thinking that I should
ask the list for advice on which laptop one should purchase if they
want good graphics performance, and want to be able to run Performer.
And since that no longer implies that I want a good Linux box, I must
state that I want to be able to run Linux and get all/most of the
features of the laptop (I can live without the built-in modem).
If possible, I'd also like a laptop with integrated (and Linux compatible)
IEEE-1394 for video capture.
Performance is more important than cost, within reason.
Thanks,
Bill
