Definitely unusual, nothing in our archives or bugsystem for those
keywords.
Do "standard" performer apps -- such as perfly, or the samples in
/usr/share/Performer/src/pguide/libpf/C -- work properly?
Another question inspired by a "Window Attributes" error: is the user
running a window manager other than the IRIX default 4Dwm?
[Admittedly, answers to either of these won't solve the problem but
might give the next hint to look into.]
