I am definitely seeing major problems with ASDs and need suggestions.
Any ideas on ways to debug this would help... like:
how can I verify the if the output of pfdBuildASD() is a valid pfASD?
would scanning thru a PFA file yield any clues?

Here is the description again..
--------------

I'm using NON-paged ASDs in asdfly.

Its buggy using my loader and pfdBuildASD() or just the original
 DTED data in asdfly.

1) While most of the terrain behaves normally, the center of my model
keeps popping in/out - seemingly not based on distance, but rather
when it starts to clip on the left&right. Like from 40 triangles up
to 5000, skipping all the intermediate LODs and skipping the morphing.

This seems to happen on various platforms, PF-2.5.2 & PF-3.0.2,
any number of PFASDLODSIZE.

The popping is extreme for this particular area - a peninsula,
but ASD transitions in other areas are smooth.

2) Getting the pfGenTex matrix set correctly in a <.config> file
seems a bit "art-sy". I tried printing out the pfASDBox
and use those dimensions to help set the matrix. Is it supposed
    to be something like this?
         (1/xsize) 0 0 0
           0 (1/ysize) 0 0
           0 0 (1/zsize) 0
           0 0 0 1

But I have to fudge the numbers (still not right) to get the
       texture even close to correct.

thanks for any suggestions.
