Use pfdStorefile(node,"persistent.pfb");

Attach the node to a pfSCS that contains the translation of the object in 'eye-space' (how much in front of the viewer)
Attach the pfSCS to a pfDCS to the scene. On the pfDCS set an APP-traversal-callback. In the callback query the
xyz-hpr of the channel and fill them in the pfDCS. This way the object stays in front of the viewer.
You can flatten the pfSCS if needed.
