Problems to run Performer examples in Conectiva Linux (version 8. 0)

I tried to install Performer 3.0 in my computer. However, some problems are
occuring. I have Conectiva 8.0 Linux. I did download the Performer's files
from www.sgi.com and I ran rpm with them.
After then, I tried to run perfly and it cannot open the shared library
files (libpf.so.3, for instance). The message was "error while loading
shared libraries: libpf.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory".
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this problem?
