        I'ver tried compiling the Performer samples bundled together with the installation and encountered errors during linking. The errors are due to underfined references which should have already been included in the Makefiles. Examples of the errors are:
          - undefined reference to `pfScene::pfScene[in-charge]()
          - undefined reference to `pfBuffer::pf_indexUpdatable(pfUpdatable const*) const
         
        I've attached a detailed error for one of the sample, user_engine.C located in /usr/share/Performer/src/pguide/libpf/C++.
         
        Additional information are:
          - Performer 2.4.2
          - IBM 2.4GHz dual CPU
          - Linux Redhat 8.0
