We noticed all that as well after the release, the logic for defining
PF_NO_SHADER was busted and caused it to be stubbed out. Just fixing
the header (from your side) isn't quite enough since there are
Performer+Shader parts within libpf.so that also turned into stubs.

There is a Performer update (3.0.2) coming out in a week or two which
will have fixes for this. Sorry that you ran into these problems..
