so close, and yet so far...

One thing on number of processors, I think on bootup there is a choice
between running on one or two processors...so mebbe a re-compile isn't
necessary (at least I hope not...would rather just go back to RH7.3 which
works with multiple processors/Performer.)

oh, re: archives...they mention *mebbe GLUT3.7*/*the latest Mesa
release*...the MesaDemos GLULT sounded reasonable to me, given that
description...(I am not a good judge, hence the question...best to try
first though, then write...sorry!)

argh. well, its a go or back to RH7.3...ugh!
