Just to be a little more clear ...
I meant that you can actually do it without the need to save stuff into
disk.
You can use C++ and grab frames using glReadPixels and insert into a
movie file
at runtime. DMSDK lets you do this.
On Windows either MovieMaker, WindowsMedia SDK or DirectShow SDK may
provide you
with these same capabilities.
