You could put a pfSaveImage() in your main simulation loop, that way every frame will get saved out to disk. Then you can then compile them into a movie using moviemaker, shotmaker or similar.

You should also consider shrinking your rendered frame size because
(1) your frame rate may drop below usability as the system accesses disk each frame
(2) you may run out of disk space really quickly, depending and
(3) I don't think you need a large frame size for a web movie...?

Subject: [info-performer] Movie capture of performer simulation

Hi there,

I have a performer simulation running. The simulation gets its data through a
socket from some data generator. Performer show the 3D output very nicely.
I now have the following question.

Is it possible to make a movie of the simulation output ? I know how to take
snapshots but that is not what I am looking for I really need to capture the
output as a movie so I can show the movie later instead of running the
simulation al over again. Besides I want to publish the movie on a website.

Thanks for your time
Bastiaan
