I have fixed these problems myself by installing Performer 3.0.1 on RedHat 8.0 with the latest Nvidia drivers.

I am running Performer 2.5 on Linux 7.2 with a Geforce4 Ti and Nvidia
release 4191, and it has two problems with running perfly.
Firstly it will only run in FREE_RUN mode. If you try to run it in FLOAT or
LOCKED it will hang on the first draw. I believe this to be the lack of a
vsync from the GL driver, Is this the case?? I have added the
__GL_SWAP_ON_VBLANK variable and when running in FREE_RUN mode there are no
tears in the picture so it seems to be swaping on the vsync.
Second problem is that I cannot move around using the mouse. Is this
related to the first problem?? The mouse responds to clicks on the GUI. but
not in the GL area. Any suggestions??
