I'm running Performer 3.0.1 under Windows XP. I'm
having some problems with reading in 3d models that
are in the 3D studio (.3ds) format. Specifically,
textures don't load. I get some error about not being
able to use IL to load the textures. This is rather
problematic, because most of the models we have for
the application we're developing are in the 3DS
format. The textures are stored as JPEGs, by the way.

What workarounds are there for this problem? I tried
using pfconv to convert the .3ds file to a .flt file,
but that didn't change the texture format.

Thanks,

Sandeep
