What platform and compiler version are you using?
I get this output on the g++3 version of linux pf 3.0.1:
dummyGeoSet: numprims = 100, expected 100
dummyGeoSet: pntsize = 1.5, expected 1.5
I called your func right after calling pfInit() and pfConfig().
my compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030309 (Debian prerelease)
