Currently, performer on irix assumes a number of extensions exist on the
Xserver. when performer tries to use one of the extensions, and the
extension really doesn't exist, you'll get an XError generated by GLX
about a special request. this typically happens when you reset your
display to a non-irix Xserver.
we've already reworked our use of glx extensions in pf3.0.2 (in
development, to be released later this year) and that rework eliminates
these problems.
in the mean time, i'll attach a .c file you can compile into a .so and
preload it so that it fudges the extensions performer wants (mostly
we just say the call failed and performer falls back to something else).
to use:
cc -c myglx.c
ld -shared myglx.o -o myglx.so
setenv _RLD_LIST myglx.os:DEFAULT
setenv DISPLAY wherever:0
perfly cow.obj
hope that helps,
tom
