pfGreetings(),
Did anyone here ever experience problems with binary compatibilty on IRIX?
I've built my pyper system on a IRIX 6.5.17 OnyxIR2.
I could run these binaries without problems on O2's we have here in-house,
using the same IRIX version.
However, yesterday, I tried to use these binaries on a client's machine.
This machine was IRIX 6.5.16 Octane/2.
Both machines run Performer 2.5.2 and use the same Python binary.
On the octane/2, the python process crashes with 'Memory Fault', when
importing the libpyper module.
Normally, I would opt for a recompilation of pyper on the client's machine,
but the client has Performer-eoe only, and no Performer-dev. What are your
experiences with binary compatibility accross the IRIX range?
pfThanks(),
pfBram().
