Hello
We have the same problem(see the mail below) in our visual application to
reach a continous 60Hz framerate.
Our configuration is:
CPU:P3 1GHz
GPU:GeForce4 TI 4600/AGP/SSE
DRIVER and GLX: 1.4.0 NVIDIA 41.91
OS: mdk 8.2
PF: 2.5.2 demo and license.
the ploblem is the same with perfly even without model loaded.
with PFNFYLEVEL set to 7, we have the following message:
No vsync GLX extension. Emulating vsync.
What is the solution?
an other graphic card
a new driver and GLX(supporting vsync)
a new release of Performer(>3.0)
a bi pro configuration
...
Thanks

We'll have to take a look into these ..
Regarding the CPU usage, the thing that comes to mind is our "emulation" of vertical retrace timing in cases where swapbuffer synchronization isn't turned on. If I recall correctly, we _spin_ -- so using a very simple model and cranking the framerate way down, is going to result in very high CPU usage due to the spin.

There shouldn't; the only difference between the demo & full version is the presence of the "Powered by.." banner.
