seems like you're having trouble allocating a visual that contains
stencil (you'll get the 'failed to find visual to support Stats HW config'
if we can't do a glXChooseVisual() on a visual with stencil). you
probably want to make sure you're in a bitdepth that supports stencil. or
make sure ATI's driver supports stencil.
