yes, but you need to fully install gcc3. if you don't know what you're
doing, you can mess up your system. the optional gcc-3.0.2 that you can
install with rh7.2 would work with the gcc3 version of pf2.5 (assuming we
still have that available for download), but not the gcc3 version of
performer 3.0 or OpenGL Shader. you would need gcc-3.2.

probably same answer as above...

you should run the gcc2 version of Performer 3.0 on redhat 7.2. redhat
7.2 comes with the gcc-2.96 compiler, which is a gcc2 compiler. the gcc2
version doesn't require shader.

it is possible, but you really need to know what you're doing. you need
to make sure you install all the appropriate packages. this will include
a lot of seemingly unrelated packages. i no longer have the list of
packages i used at the time. i know you'll need stuff like binutils and
others. not just packages that contain the letters gcc in them. it is
generally safer / simpler to simply upgrade the version of redhat.
in your case, i think i'd recommend using the gcc2 version of the
performer libraries or if you need gcc3 for some reason, i'd recommend
upgrading to redhat 8.
