We'll have to take a look into these ..

Regarding the CPU usage, the thing that comes to mind is our "emulation"
of vertical retrace timing in cases where swapbuffer synchronization
isn't turned on. If I recall correctly, we _spin_ -- so using a very
simple model and cranking the framerate way down, is going to result in
very high CPU usage due to the spin.

There shouldn't; the only difference between the demo & full version is
the presence of the "Powered by.." banner.
