the -0 is the build number. typical rpm names have a format like this:
name-version-build number. we will typically change the build nubmer if
the revision of software hasn't changed, but perhaps something in the
packaging has. therefore we change the build number so that an upgrade of
the rpm doesn't require a --force (since rpm will say you already have
that package installed).
the _gcc3 packages are build iwth gcc-3.2
