Hello performers,
This is a general graphics question that relates to texture image.
I have a color image (rgb only) that has a white background. I would like
all the white color in
this image to be treated as transparent when I use this image as a texture
map. This is like the
chroma key approach. How can I achieve this effect?
If the image is in rgba format with alpha defined, I have no problem in
getting the transparency effect. So either I
have to convert that bmp image to rgba somehow (with white resulting in
alpha=0) by certain tool(?), or maybe I can do
it programatically with certain texture environment setting? Please
advise.
