    Yes, that is correct, you need to be either an administrative user or a
    power user to install Performer 3.0 on Windows.

    In 3.0 we only have support for single-pipe on win32. Note that NT4
    doesn't support this kind of stuff so it will never work on that platform
    (2000 and XP are ok.) So to make a long story short, the notion of a
    Display is irrelevant with Performer 3.0.
