Performers,

The last message for tonight, regarding the OpenGL Performer 3.0
release: how to send us your feedback.

We are particularly eager to hear your feedback and to get early
word about your experience with OpenGL Performer 3.0. This goes
equally for the IRIX, Linux, and Windows versions!

We'll use this data to compile lists of known problems (and their
workarounds), update the FAQ lists, recommended platforms, and
so on. Please send your early comments & feedback to this address:

   performer-feedback++at++sgi.com

This is a direct & private method for us to hear from you.
And not just for problems -- let us know the good news too!

With this release of OpenGL Performer 3.0 we are making our
first venture into the Windows space and I have to say, it is
very exciting. It reminds me a lot of back in 1999 when the
first versions of Performer for Linux were introduced.

We've focused our testing of the Windows version on the various
ATI and nVidia cards & drivers; and we know that inevitably we
will soon learn about, and then squash, unforseen difficulties
that people have with those or other vendors' cards.

If you do run into a problem, there are a few things that you
can do that will help us, no matter which platform. Please tell
us which operating system & version you have; which graphics type
(and if a PC, which graphics driver revision); set your PFNFYLEVEL
environment variable to 7, and include the program's output with
your message. And if you're so inclined, a stack trace using
the Debug libraries is always a big help.

Now that the release is out and the holiday season is here, the
entire Performer team is taking some very well-earned vacation
during the week of Dec 23-27. We'll be back to check in on you
all and read through the performer-feedback the week of Dec 30,
see you then!

That's all for now,

Thanks again,

And Enjoy Performer 3.0!
