[info-performer] Performance penalty by setName

Hi,

The follwoing is less a question than looking for comments and explanations.
In my application (Performer 2.5.2, gcc 3.1.1, Suse 8.0, APPCULLDRAW) I am handling
a variable number of DCS nodes. For some reason I decided to include some meta-information
about the nodes in their names. I guess (i.e. I am sure) there are better ways to do this,
but I choose this one... Now, the names of each node are updated each frame using setName().
I did not observe anything special as long as I did only use about 20 DCS nodes.
However, when using about 100 DCS nodes, the time spend in app increases dramatically and
the frame rate drops. The penalty I observed was fully accounted to by the setName function,
because when I did remove the function all went back to normal in terms of performance.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Just to mention I am using getName() 5 times
as often and do not get a performance hit by this.
