Yes, there is a way to do it. On a pass of type PF_SHADERPASS_GEOMETRY,
you can call pfShader::setPassMode(BPF_SHADERPASS_USE_LOCAL_GSTATE,
1). For that pass, the shader will then draw the geoset as normal. This
will only work in performer 2.4 and 2.5.
