Hi all,

I would like to use shadows in my application, but Performer's native
shadow system is not usable for me:
- my objects that cast shadow may move and rotate in all directions
(must re-calculate maps, if I use the Performer shadow system)
- can't multipass (frame rate is allready very high, even on geForce4Ti)
- I want to shadow everything (For exemple, take the town.pfb demo, and
shadow everything from the sun (static light and static buildings), and
add some vehicules (moving vehicules)

So, I first think I'll use stencil shadows.

- Is there a Performer related way to compute edges (in order to
implement stencil )
- did anybody already try this ?
- any idea?
- Does anyone used Cg shaders to implement shadow (even not with stencil)?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion, url, implementation, donnation,
gifts, ... ;-)

Fred

(for Cg interessed, there is a Cg SDK for Linux, that can be found at
http://www.macslow.de/fx-nx-dx/index.php)
