Hmm, I rebuilt perfly under gcc3.2 as a test and both the C and C++ version work. I will dig a little deeper and see what I can find on my end - things worked before so there is probably something in my code that is causing the problem (surprise!). BTW - this is using linux 2.4.19 (w/various patches), nVidia-3123 and a Geforce4-Ti4600
