While C Performer programs compile fine they do not run as they seg-fault right after printing the little Performer version blurb to the console. C++ programs have the same problem in addition to having a library version mismatch with libstdc++.so from version 3 (Performer) and version 5 (gcc 3.2).

YMMV, it may work, it may not work. I wouldn't be a lot of money on it
though :). The gcc3 version of Performer 3.0 is compiled against gcc-3.2.
We're currently in the beta stage of pf3.0. If you're interested in the
beta, I'd recommend contacting Allan (allan++at++sgi.com) or Raj
(rmirpuri++at++sgi.com).

No, i don't think it should. It may be a GL-related issue. Contact me
off-line with some of your machine info (gfx card & driver version) and
we'll see if we can figure it out.
