Hi,

I would like to render moving 3D objects on a pre-rendered background (image). The pre-rendered background exists as an image providing color information and also I have a "variation" of the image containing the depth map for rendering the 3D objects correctly.
What is the fastest way to write the depth map to the z-Buffer?
I should say that the background consists of an image that is larger than the displayed scene and the user can pan the camera. Thus I have to load the "relevant" part of the depth map every frame a new or at least I have to replace some parts of the z-Buffer on a per frame basis.

regards,

hartwig
