[info-performer] is this a new feature or what?

I'm using performer_dev 2.5 on IRIX 6.5.16m .

I start my app.
I modify my source and recompile.
as soon as the compile is done, the app crashes with a bus error.

?!?

in previous versions of performer I've had no trouble
running several versions of the app as I twiddle with
things in the code and recompile. what's with this new
crash-on-rebuild mode?
