Hi,

Take a look at FLTK- www.fltk.org. DIVERSE's DTK- www.diverse.vt.edu/dtk
has demo and application launchers based on this nice little API. Check
out dtk-demoRunner and dtk-launcher. FLTK runs on just about everything.
DTK runs on IRIX and LInux and is currently being ported to Windows.
