This is an updated to a problem I was having with a Performer app on the
Wildcat card. The application had very poor performance in areas where
large textures (1024x1024) were in the view frustum. It turns out that
there was a problem with the Wildcat driver by XiGraphics in handling the
large textures. They have since released a beta driver that dramatically
improves the performance of this application. It goes to show that they
are responsive to customer problems. However, we still had to run in
single processor mode since we are still experiencing hard lockups in SMP
mode (not Performer related; locks up on OpenGL apps too).
