[info-performer] Working with non-power of 2 data

I am working with a large land cover data set which I eventually convert to a set of textures. The dimensions of the data set are not powers of 2.

Does anyone know of algorithms or techniques which can be used to convert my original data to a set whose dimensions are powers of 2?

The human brain is only used to 10% of capacity.
The rest is overhead for the operatiing system.
