Hi,
you might want to check SoftGenLock :
http://netjuggler.sourceforge.net/SoftGenLock.php
from the Readme :
"SoftGenLock is a library that aims at adding support for
multi-display active (quad-buffer) stereo under Linux. It
is written to be in Dependant of the driver and (as much as
possible) of the graphics card.
(..)
The indented functionality of SoftGenLock are:
- synchronized page flipping and shutter glasses signal
generation for stereo viewing on one computer.
(..)
To use SoftGenLock, you need first to configure XFree to
enlarge the virtual viewport in order to display 2 images.
For example, if you are in 1024x768 and will display the
images horizontally, add the following line on each
subsection "Display" of section "Screen" in the
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file:
Virtual 2048 768"
One half of the virtual buffer will be for one eye,
and only half of the virtual buffer will be displayed
at one time. SoftGenLock will do the swapping
and synchronize the glasses.
You also need a real time linux kernel, and
maybe some tweaking for your glasses if they're not
standard.
Anyway tell us how you're doing with that,
we want to do the same for our simulation in
the near future.
Good luck and have a nice day ;)
