Hello,
I'm trying to develop some software that will work under both IRIX
and Linux. I've just discovered that I've been using pfPipes incorrectly,
but things work as I desire on IRIX, but crash on Linux -- because I
was mapping ever window to its own pfPipe even though some were on
the same screen. It turns out, it'll be a complicated fix to change
my system to map all the windows on the same screen to the same
pfPipes, and while I will fix this eventually, for now I'm looking for
an easy fix based on determining whether multipiping is allowed.
Thus my question is straighforward: how can one determine (via code)
whether multipiping is allowed?
I suppose I could just check whether Linux is being used, but people
who purchase multipipe performer for Linux, wouldn't get to use the
feature they specifically paid for.
Thanks,
Bill
