Hi all,

Just got a new system P-IIII 2.2ghz and added a GF-4.
loaded RH 7.2 for i686,
added the nvidia 2880 drivers,
then installed Performer 2.5.

Now the Performer 2.5 rpm's on the website is for i386 (at least that is
what
the rpm names imply) so I had to installed with "--nodeps". This all
Seemed to work fine!

After extracting the -lGLw, (I'm still trying to figure out why this is
included in the link line if the the library is not included with RH or
Performer. but that's another story) I compiled some of the demos in
...../pguide/libpf/C++ and they seemed to run fine.

So I ran perfly on esprit.flt just to check things out and noticed that
I had no mouse control in the viewer portion of the display. Everything
else worked, the buttons, the keys. I tried again with town.perfly and
sure enough no mouse control in the viewer!

I also noticed that the cars were driving on the wrong side of the road
which I don't mind (I thought maybe who ever rewrote perfly for linux
was from across the pond) but I spoke to two people neither of whom
noticed this when they ran perfly (of course they my not have noticed it
but I doubt that)

So my questions are::

1: dose anyone have a clue about the mouse (or lack thereof) action?
2: Are the cars supposed to be on the left side of the road?
3: if (!2) are 1 & 2 related
4: What about the i686 vs performer i386? is this an issue
5: And about that libGLw?
4.a: Why is it not included with anything except mesa yet (more
importantly) it is in the
makedefs file for the performer demos And (most Important) it is
not needed to make
        these demos?

See Ya ~;-}>
