with perfly the -t option alowes you to set the visual_id.
In a performer app I believe the call is.
pfPWinFBConfigId(pfPipeWindow* pwin, int vId);
part of the man page:::
pfWinFBConfigId allows you to directly set the OpenGL X visual id to be
used in configuring the resulting OpenGL/X window. pfGetWinFBConfigId
will return the current OpenGL visual id of the window (or -1 if the id
is not known, or if running under IRIS GL). This routine is useful in
multiprocess operation if you want to be able to directly specify the
framebuffer configuration of an X window in the application process.
