MPEG display in Performer/VR.

hi.

i'm coming across a need to display video from MPEG or other files in some
Performer/CAVElib VR applications that don't currently use up any of the
system's texture memory. sorta like a floating polygon/screen with a
couple 3D control widgets.
is pfuTex the way to go with this? or does this require some serious lower-
level coding?

any advice would be welcome.
i'm on digest, so i can't reply promptly to list postings.
