Performer/OpenGL, C programer need for large scale space sciences simulation project
Visualization Programmer
Competent and skilled graphics programmer needed immediately to assist in development of a large- scale, multiple display, real-time scientific simulation for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science's Space Odyssey/Cosmic Atlas project. Through understanding of SGI Performer and/or OpenGL, C and LINUX/IRIX a must. Interface/GUI development experience helpful. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work on the development of a major Space Sciences exhibition (32,000 sqf at $50 million) and important visualization of the starry night sky to be displayed in a new state-of-the-art, high resolution, fully immersive planetarium.
The successful candidates will be working in an LINUX/ IRIX environment with multiple large-scale 3D display on a dual pipe Onyx3000 to a 10 pipe planetarium system. You will be working as a member of a high performance team of programmers, artist, modelers and astrophysicists.
