Intersection testing between nodes

How can I test if two nodes (basically they are both
pfGeodes) intersect? I am interested in real (not
bounding sphere or bounding box) intersection.
Sometimes my pfGeodes contains geosets with triangles
that describe a non-convex 3D shape.
