Hi performers,
I'm sorry to bother you all with clipgen problems but I don't know where
else to turn..... : (
We have a significant number of images that we are loading into clipgen -
over 300 with potential for 500. During processing the following warning is
generated
Warning: could not create retained file "BLAH", Too many open files
...
ad Nauseum
...
The program generates the following information at the start:
CG Debug: setting max file descriptors (RLIMIT_NOFILE) to 2500
CG Debug: setting stacksize limit (RLIMIT_STACK) to 16777216
Are the file descriptors being exceeded (most likely if there is an
allocation for pyramid files) or has the memory run out? Is there a way to
increase the number of file descriptors or stacksize at runtime?
We are using version 1.2a7 although the directory is came from indicates
that it should be 1.2a8 (FOP 2.4.1)
Any thoughts greatly appreciated - even unrelated ones.
Best regards,
Todd Maybury (humble modeller : ) )
