Take a look at an active stereo, DLP, very bright (1000+
lumens), ... very big, heavy, somewhat expensive...
projector.

I saw a prototype of this working a year ago. Good enough
resolution for CAVEs (1280x1024 I think).

Company was "Christy Digital" at that time, but you
will find them under the Electrohome/Fakespace
family of companies.
