problem with Performer 2.4 under Linux 7.2

I get the following error message when compiling
Performer 2.4 applications under Redhat Linux 7.2:

./complex: error while loading shared libraries:
/usr/lib/libpf.so.1: undefined symbol: stat

However precompiled Perfly works perfectly, so I
presume there's a compile/linker option error. Could
you help me?

I've used Performer 2.4 and 2.3 under Redhat 6.2
without problems until now.
