actually, you'll notice the SGI is probably set at 1.7 (type: gamma) and
the PC is set to 1.0 (type: xgamma). You can change the setting on the PC
by either using xgamma (man xgamma) or adding the setting to your
XF86Config (man XF86Config).

Those problems sound like bugs in the .flt loader.
