I've notice the gamma discrepancy as well, but the problems we were having
went way beyond that. We had a model of a person wearing a yellow hazardous
materials suit with a black helmet. On the SGIs it looked correct, on the
PC the suit was black and the helmet was lavender. Another example is
an orange traffic cone that was being rendered completely black.
We worked around the problem by turning off Gouraud shading in MultiGen.
