problem new makefiles in Performer 2.5

Hello!
I'm was cross developing with Performer 2.2 under IRIX and Performer 2.4
under Linux. Now I have upgraded to Performer 2.5 under Linux and this seems
to be problem, because the Performer makefiles in V2.5 have changed. I can't
use my makefiles on both systems anymore, because of they have become
incompatible now.
Why has this change been made and how can I regain the compatibility with
the older versions?
