Linux perfly problems

Hello,

I hope I am posting this query in the right place -- if not then
please direct me to a more appropriate forum.

I have installed the linux version of the Performer evaluation
(2.5.0-5) and I am having problems getting it to run. Whenever I run
perfly I simply get a black screen -- and i have to ssh in
from another machine and kill perfly to restore things to
normal. All of my other OpenGL apps run great so I an
really surprised at this.

My system: Debian Woody, 2.4.14 kernel, NVIDIA drivers
v 1.0.1541. The card is a GeForce2 Deluxe.

Has anybody seen this problem before? If so can you point
me to a workaround?
